There are a lot of free VPN service tools available for windows i.e. CyberGhost VPN, HotSpot Shield etc. But what if you want to connect to your custom VPN service provider?? What if we want to connect to our own created VPN server??
Well in such situations, those free VPN installers are of no use to you.You need some other solution.
OpenVPN is an OpenSource server client tool for VPN solutions.
In this tutorial, i will show you how to use OpenVPN client tool to connect to free VPN services available online.So, here we start.
1- Download and install OpenVPN Client from Here
2- After successful installation, an icon with name "Securepoint SSL VPN" will appear on your desktop.Start this client tool.It will look like as showed in pic below.
3- In this tutorial we will use online free vpn services.So, download free vpn profile from one of the following links. I am using VPN profile of vpnbook.com so i would recommend you all to use it too for following this tutorial. Afterwards you may try VPN profiles from other free VPN providers too.
- Euro1 OpenVPN Certificate Bundle
- Euro2 OpenVPN Certificate Bundle
- UK OpenVPN Certificate Bundle (optimized for fast web surfing; no p2p downloading)
- US OpenVPN Certificate Bundle (optimized for fast web surfing; no p2p downloading)
- All bundles include UDP53, UDP 25000, TCP 80, TCP 443 profile
- Username: vpnbook
- Password: STas9A5a
5- Now maxmize your openvpn client and click on "import" button. A new window will appear before you. Under the line "Importing existing configuration" , browse path of your desired VPN profile and click import as i have done in the following pic.
6- "Import successful" message will appear.Now everything is set.Click on connect.It will ask you for username and password.Copy username and password from step 3 and use them here.
On successful connection, you will see a connection status on your connection quite like the following pic.
